This week is Random Acts of Kindness Week. Even the smallest gesture can make a huge impact on someone around you. We could all use a little spark of joy, now more than ever. At Lindsey we are making it our mission to perform at least one random act of kindness a day the whole week of February 14 through the 20, and we’re challenging our community to do the same! Here is a list of small things you can do to make a difference for someone else.
- Tip a little extra when you go out to eat or grab your morning coffee.
- Plant a tree! Let mother earth know you appreciate her by giving back to the environment.
- Give someone a kind comment or message on social media! In a world filled with a lot of negative, it is refreshing to see a little positivity online.
- Make someone a gift from the heart! Whether it’s knitting a sweater, painting a picture or
- Send someone a text or call them up and let them know you’re thinking of them.
- Send some snail mail! A handwritten note is hard to come by these days but is always well received.
- Leave quarters at the laundry mat to surprise someone in need.
- Shop local and support small businesses in your community.
- Leave a positive review for a company online.
- Let a coworker know that you see their efforts and appreciate them.
- Volunteer at a soup kitchen
- Drink water and eat well! Be kind to yourself!
- Pick up trash you see not discarded properly
- Bring a meal to your neighbor
- Donate money to someone with a medical need
- Foster a pet for adoption or donate supplies to a shelter
- Take canned foods to a food pantry
- Ship a care package
- Donate your old, unworn clothes.
- Do an activity with someone you love that they choose
- Donate old books to a second-hand library
- Leave a kind note in your mailbox for your mail carrier
- Run or walk for a cause
- Smile and say hello to a stranger
