I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas. My husband, Don, daughter, Hailey, and I moved to Bentonville in May of 2000. I've been a N.W. Arkansas resident for almost 16 years.
My background and life experiences differentiate me from many other Realtors. For instance, I worked for Payless Cashways Inc., at the store level in Dallas, Texas area following graduation. As a management trainee, I started in the lumberyard in the heat of July and learned about lumber and the variety of products housed in the yard. After the yard, I worked through every area of the store, plumbing, electrical, tools, hardware, paint, lighting, etc. To move from a department, I had to have a basic knowledge about the products and uses and had to pass a written exam. The other life lesson that gives me a unique perspective is that my family was unfortunate enough to have our first home in Bentonville be very poorly built. I know firsthand what it's like to have invested in a new home only to sink tens of thousands of dollars into repairs. The process of fixing that home and working through the issues with a structural engineer, roofing expert, foundation specialists and mold specialists gave me invaluable knowledge. I am NOT a home inspector, but I have a keen eye for detail and am cognizant of signs of potential trouble.
Finally, I have had several years of sales experience in the Kansas City and St. Louis markets and beyond, as a multi-line sales representative. I know that to be successful in sales you must be expedient, honest, communicative and knowledgeable; the customer's best interest comes first.
