"This is positive just couldn’t connect by other means. Situation: purchasing lots thru Sally Swick Subject: Honest review of working with Sally Swick. Background: Solicited Sally to purchase a lot with a budget of approximately 25k as a buyers agent. We negotiated on 4 properties and evaluated many more. I am enough of a businessman to understand that commission on this sale is a couple hundred dollars so how much time and attention could I really expect? My observations: Sally is smart. She has a degree in architecture,which is not easy to accomplish. She is honest. That is an overused term these days, I am sensitive to dealing with dishonest people. Sally is solid this way. She is a worker and proactive. If you give her direction be prepared to act. Example- I commented that I was interested in buying the lot next to the one I was going to put a contract in on. Sally dug into records, made contact and found out what the selller wanted to make a deal. Result I bought two adjacent lots, which I believe are worth more together than separate. Moving forward: Sally knew I was building a house. She wanted to represent me in the building process. She would make 10 times more money doing this vs buying a lot for me but she never pushed the issue. She didn’t hang it over my head. This is what I admired most about the process of working with her. I believe her business philosophy is “I do great work regardless of what I am paid and in the end I make a good living “. Sally was always professional. While I am a little doubtful how much value a realtor will bring during the building process I am giving Sally the opportunity because I believe with her intelligence, work ethic, and communication skills that she will find a way to bring value in excess of what I will pay. I’m sure I will get an opportunity to review her value in a similar forum when we complete the building process. In closing, I believe people that want the following from a real estate professional will like the experience of working with Sally. 1). If you are a professional person and want to work with a professional that treats you like a business partner. 2). If you are truly a person of action and want someone to get something done for you. 3). If you want to work with someone that can tell you something you don’t want to hear. 4). Sally is not “salesy”. She is about substance. Frankly, regardless of the business she was in I would consider doing business with her because of her intelligence, ethics and ability to get things done."
