Having grown up in Michigan I call myself a midwesterner; however, over the past 35 years, due to my husband’s career, I have relocated several times to North Carolina, Maryland, Florida, Mississippi, Texas, California and Arkansas. I guess you could say I’ve lived in almost every cultural region in America.
Since the 1980s I have bought and sold seven houses in seven different states. Each of these moves caused me to have to leave the comfort of familiarity to transition my family into a new community. Needless to say, I have experienced the burden of moving and buying/selling a home. I understand the importance of finding the perfect home and community that meet the needs of you and your family. I also realize that real estate transactions can be confusing and stressful. It has become my passion to help untangle that confusion, alleviate stress, and aid you in a successful transition to make your move as carefree as possible.
I began my career in the Information Technology Industry. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI and a Master’s Degree from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. As I pursued my career in IT, I personally found it difficult, with all of our relocations, to both work outside the home and raise a family. As a result, I opted for part time web design work in order to be available to support my husband and raise my children. Eventually, with a desire to get back to full time work and wanting to do something noble with my life, I decided to pursue a career in teaching. I earned my teaching credentials in mathematics from Chapman University and began teaching high school math. I taught Geometry, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2; however, given my business background and passion for data and analysis, I found teaching AP Statistics to be the most rewarding and enjoyable of all.
Our final relocation brought us to Arkansas. With my children grown and off pursuing their own lives, I have had time to explore, learn about, fully live in, and fall in love with the Rogers area. In my free time you will find me at home on Beaver Lake. I enjoy boating, stand-up paddle boarding, exercising, hiking, and golfing. Ultimately, being outdoors with my friends and family enjoying the beauty of this gorgeous state of Arkansas is where I find my peace and joy!
