One of the fastest growing regions in the Nation, Northwest Arkansas is surrounded by the beautiful Ozark Mountains..  If your interests lie in the natural outdoors, NWA is abundant in clean lakes, rivers and hiking trails.  Sports enthusiasts are always welcome to join their fellow Arkansans as we "Call the Hogs", the mascot of the University of Arkansas, with the flagship campus located in Fayetteville.  Scenic drives throughout the region provide the perfect opportunity to see the area in all it's glory, as NWA enjoys four true seasons.

Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the area's many courses, ranging from public, to award-winning designed professional courses.   In 2007, NWA hosted the inaugural LPGA NWA Championship, featuring the top LPGA professionals in the Country, which will again be hosted  in 2008 and 2009.   In April, 2008, the NWA Naturals, Triple A Minor League will open their inaugural season in Springdale.

Fishing enthusiasts will find NWA to be most inviting, whether bass fishing on Beaver Lake, comprising 30,000 acres, or trout fishing in any of the many fresh streams and rivers located within and around the NWA area.  With the area's abundant lakes and rivers, NWA provides the canoeist and kayaker the perfect playground to hone their skill!

The Ozarks natural beauty affords hiking enthusiasts the opportunity to get out and play!  Hobbs State Park located just east of Rogers is a nature lover's paradise.  Devil's Den State Park and Lake Wedington, outside of Fayetteville provide the perfect opportunity for a day hike or bike ride.  Bike trails are available throughout the region, as are greenway and trails systems.

The Jones Center for Families, a multigenerational, social, educational and recreational facility  located in Springdale, provides the region with an indoor ice skating facility, as well as indoor pool, computer room, and other recreational opportunities, all at no cost to families.

The recently opened Adult Wellness Center, operated by the City of Rogers provides our area seniors the opportunity to stay active in a beautiful facility, staffed by Wellness professionals.  Indoor lap pool, warm water therapy pool, state-of-the-art exercise machines, crafts rooms, speakers bureau, are all provided to members at a very low annual fee.

Opportunities for youngsters to excel at their chosen sport or activity abound throughout the region.  Recreation centers, skateboard parks, aquatic facilities, splash parks, and sports facilities, are offered throughout NWA.  As our region grows, so do the programs offered by each City.
