As the Northwest Arkansas area has grown, so too have

facilities. Children's healthcare has benefited with the
recent addition of a satellite facility of UAMS and
Arkansas Children's Hospital, where pediatric specialists in
many fields will commute to NWA on a rotating basis. Mercy
Health Systems is currently building a 200 bed state-of-the-art
medical facility in Rogers, expected to open in March, 2008.
Washington Regional, a 233 bed facility located in
Fayetteville, officially opened in 2002, and is currently undergoing
a large expansion. Northwest Medical Center recently
opened 2 new facilities, a 128 bed facility in Bentonville, and a 30
bed full-service women's health facility; in addition to their
main 222 bed healthcare facility in Springdale.
