Benton County, Arkansas
Benton County is located in the Northwest Corner of Arkansas. It is bordered by Missouri, Oklahoma, Carroll County, Madison County, and Washington County. It has a land area of 52,068 square miles with an average of 51.3 people per square mile. Benton County has a population of 153,406 according to the 2000 census, but grows in population everyday. The county is made up of 21 towns including Bentonville which is the home of Wal-Mart Inc., Highfill home of the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) and Lowell which is home to J.B. Hunt.

The history of Siloam Springs dates back to 1835. The town went from being a prominent Cherokee trading post to home of the Southwestern Collegiate Institute, later changed to the John E. Brown University with over 1,500 students, fully accredited as a four-year college. Industries still prominent today include orchards, poultry products, hides, wool, beef and all agricultural products, with Siloam Springs serving as the shipping point and trade center.
